John’s history of innovative IT leadership began in his role as the IT Director at The Dairy Farm Group. In this position, he was responsible for overseeing all IT aspects in China, Hong Kong, and Macau, covering retail supermarkets, health and beauty, and convenience stores across 2500 locations. John’s leadership was pivotal in building, coaching, and mentoring a strong team that delivered value-adding projects and enhanced customer experience, supporting the business’s growth.

Prior to this, as the Head of Deployment and Development, John demonstrated his proficiency in innovative IT leadership. He was responsible for the architecture, development, and deployment of large-scale programs into various store formats in Hong Kong and China. His ability to manage both on-shore and off-shore teams effectively showcased his skill in handling complex IT projects.

In his role as the Director of IT and Process Improvement at Vanden Recycling, John further exemplified his capabilities in IT strategy and operations. He was instrumental in selecting and implementing an ERP system with best practice business processes, supporting the company’s growth. His strategic decision-making in onboarding a new IT Managed service provider and working with the board to explore growth opportunities in the recycling business further highlights his leadership and strategic vision.

John’s recent endeavours include running his own consulting firm and serving as an Executive Coach and Mentor at JPCC. His work in coaching individuals in leadership development, mentoring young entrepreneurs, and his nomination for the Princes Trust volunteer of the year award in 2023, reflect his commitment to fostering talent and leadership skills in others.
