Pricing questions

How much does a fractional director cost in the UK?

Fractional director fees at Leadership Services range from £1,795 to £6,000 per month depending on the role, seniority, and time commitment (typically 1–4 days a week). A diagnostic engagement is £3,500–£7,500 as a fixed fee. A full transformation directorate (multiple directors as one team) runs £4,500–£12,000 per month.

Is there a minimum term?

No. Our standard fractional director engagement has no minimum term, though most clients stay 6–24 months. Programme-based engagements (transformation directorate, sector programmes) have a defined term of 3–18 months because they deliver a specific named outcome.

Are there recruitment fees?

No. We are not a recruiter. We are a directorate that places experienced executives into your business as a service. Our fees are the monthly engagement fee — nothing else.

How does this compare to hiring a full-time CFO, CIO or CMO?

A full-time UK C-suite hire typically costs £130,000–£200,000 in salary plus benefits, recruitment fees, and on-costs (often £250k+ all-in). A fractional equivalent at Leadership Services starts at £1,795/month with no recruitment fee and no long-term commitment.

What if I am not sure what I need yet?

Start with a Diagnostic. It is a 2–4 week fixed-fee engagement (£3,500–£7,500) that surfaces the actual problem, the priorities, and the right shape of leadership response. Many clients then continue into a fractional placement; some do not need to.

Do you work across all UK regions?

Yes. Our directors work with businesses across the UK — hybrid by default, with in-person time as the engagement requires. Most placements involve 1–2 on-site days per week and the rest remote.
